The
Effingham Elks Handicapped Children's Committee was founded over 25 years
ago to assist families with handicapped children, under the age of 21, and
living in the Greater Effingham Area.

We have raised hundreds of thousand of dollars through our Annual Auction
and have had the privilege of helping and assisting hundreds of children in
the Greater Effingham Area.

While we normally are known for purchasing of wheelchairs, lifts, carriers,
concrete or wooden ramps, communicating devices, just to name a few. We are
always open to new ways of helping handicapped children and their families.

Handicapped Children's Auction
Welcome to the
online portion of our auction. Help us celebrate our 36th Annual Handicapped
Children's Auction by viewing and bidding on some of the items. This auction has
funded our efforts to assist local Effingham County families with Handicapped
Children under the age of 21, for 35 years now. Anything from wheelchairs,
wheelchair lifts, carriers, communicating devices, to concretes or wooden ramps
and the list goes on. If you are outside of the immediate area and need an item
shipped outside of our Pickup Areas, bidder will be responsible for all shipping
costs. You must register to bid, you can browse without having to register, if

How to Bid on the Auction
You will
need to register as a bidder and pick a password. This will give you a bidder
ID. The bidder ID and password will be used to bid on items. You may register
online or by calling our hotline the night of the auction. (217-994-9008 or
855-202-2480). When registering please make sure
you give a valid telephone number and call in for registration prior to wanting
to bid on an item.
You may bid on items online until November 09 and 10 or you may phone in during
the auction. (217-994-9008 or 855-202-2480)
On November 09 and 10,
the auction will go live on Cable Channel 78 and WCRC 95.7 from 6:30 to
approximately 9:30 p.m. The items will be officially sold on those evenings. If
you are the winning bidder, you will be notified by telephone that you are the
winner of the item. Items will not be sold before November 09 and 10.
